Spring Star Gazing

Spring Star Gazing

Pipestone National Monument's spring star gazing is Saturday, April 29th (rain date is May 6th)!
  • 8:00pm - 8:30pm: Lakota Constellations with Gabe Yellowhawk in the visitor center
  • 8:30pm - 10:00pm: Join astronomers Dr. Browning and Dr. Grau with their telescopes in front of the building. If you have a mirrorless camera or DSLR with a tripod, head out on the trail with Marty DeWitt to learn astrophotography!
Feel free to also bring your own telescopes or binoculars and just hang out with other night sky enthusiasts.

This event is free and open to the public along with the cider, cocoa, and snacks (while supplies last).
