Sheep Shearing & Wool Spinning Demonstration

Living History Demonstrations:
The Pipestone County Historical Society invites you to join us as Rodger Olivier, local sheep shearer, talks about the history and tools of the sheep shearing trade and performs a live demonstration of the craft.  Following Rodger’s presentation, local artisan Laurel Berg will discuss and demonstrate the craft of spinning wool into yarn.  These demonstrations will be held Saturday, September 11th at 1:30 p.m.  at Moore Park on North Hiawatha Avenue in Pipestone.  The Park offers limited seating, please bring a chair or blanket. The cost to attend this event is $5.00 for adults; children 12 and under are free.
