The Pipestone County Museum will be holding a donation rummage on Tuesday, October 14th and Wednesday, October 15th, 2025. Community members may drop off good, usable rummage items at St. Leo?s Catholic Church (415 S. Hiawatha Ave.) on Tuesday, the 14th from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. PLEASE NOTE THE CHANGE OF LOCATION FOR THIS EVENT! No electronics, cribs, or car seats will be accepted. The doors for the sale open at 5:00 p.m. and continue until 7:00 p.m. on the 14th. NO EARLY SALES! The sale will resume at 9 a.m. on the 15th and continue until 2:00 p.m. A Brown Bag sale will begin at noon on the 15th. The Pipestone County Historical Society is currently hosting The Oscar Howe Traveling Exhibit. This exhibit aims to bring Oscar Howe?s life and artistic legacy to community spaces across the region. The exhibit features eight banners that explore the artistic development and biographical details of the Yanktonai Dakota artist who helped to expand the definition and understanding of Native arts. The exhibit will be on display at the Pipestone County Museum from September 16-30. It will then travel to Pipestone Area Schools where it will be on display for students in the MS/HS Library from October 1-15 before returning to the Museum for a second showing October 16?28. The public is invited to visit the Pipestone County Museum during this time to see the exhibit. Admission to the Museum galleries is $3.00.
